Where are the leaders that we seek?

Its a common complaint that today's India does not have leaders of stature with vision and integrity. With India poised delicately at the cross roads from where it could either grow into a huge economy with visions of leading the world or derail from its tracks of progress and forever be hyphenated with its neighbour and allow China to leap ahead. It is at this time that we need people who can work - with lots of sacrifices - to take India ahead.

During the freedom struggle, we had several leaders who worked with only one goal - Freedom - in mind. We need another struggle now. Where are they?

Unfortunately, as this article indicates, we only seem to have venture capitalists as our leaders. Invest obscene amounts of money to get elected and, if elected, try get as much returns as you can. Corruption costs us over Rs. 2.5 lakh crores! And this is just during the state and national elections.
