Looks like this kind of protest has really caught on. An Indian scribe apparently infuriated at the clean chit given to Jagdish Tytler over his role during the 1984 Delhi riots has resorted to this sort of protest.

Update : Later, speaking with CNN-IBN, Jarnail Singh said he did not regret his action. "How can he (Chidambaram) happy when one community faces injustice? They were stopping me from talking.
